FAMILY | PART 5

IDENTITY IN CHRIST | DAY 12

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.”

I am not alone

So the past four devotions have been about being God’s family. Today, we will finish with some of God's calling to His family. We have been adopted, we are a member of God’s household, an actual part of Christ’s body, and our Heavenly Father is going to lead us in what we are called to do. Here’s the list:

1.) Be strong and courageous

  • Easier said than done, right? He’s not talking about posturing, God is calling us to be strong and courageous…in Him. And only through His power

2.) Don’t be scared, and don’t be anxious

  • Again, this one is tough. Anxiety is real, and fear is hard to overcome. The only option we have is to adopt the mindset of the one who adopted us. Our Father is not scared, and He is not anxious.

3.) God will go with you

  • Here’s the game changer. Our mighty, perfect, all-loving, merciful, and holy Father God will go with us!

4.) God will never abandon you

  • Never will God say, I’m too busy. Never will He miss an event because of work. Never will He be absent when we need Him most.
